Inaugural Endurance Test hosted by Belgian Shepherd Dog Club of Queensland Inc.
What is an Endurance Test?
The Endurance Test demonstrates the dog's ability to work after being subject to a certain degree of physical strain without showing signs of undue stress or lack of constitution.
Open to all breeds of ANKC recognized pedigree registered dogs and non -pedigree dogs on the ANKC Associate Register.
A vet certified fit and healthy dog competes in an ANKC sanctioned Endurance Test consisting of a 20 km run at an average of 10 km per hour. It is done in three (3) sections - 1 x 8 km with a 15 minute break and Veterinary check - 1 x 6 km with a 20 minute break and Veterinary check followed by the last leg of 6 km and a 15 minute break followed by a short obedience test.
The handler of the dog in the test can ride a push bike or run with their dog.
The effortless accomplishment of such a test shall be the evidence as to the physical fitness of the dog, and earns the its ET title.
