2019 Research & Development - coat colour and DNA
If you would like to participate in Research & Development for Belgian Shepherds coat colour and DNA, here is your chance.
Orivet Genetic Pet Care has invited our breed to participate in R&D for the new "intensity" E locus test to determine if this gene might relate to the grey in Tervueren.
Orivet has asked for a fresh set of cheek swab samples collected by authorised collectors (or vet) in the normal Orivet manner - for both grey and fawn coloured Tervueren in various shades of colour. Pop a colour photo of your dog in the envelope to help with the process. It would be great for a dam and sire with a few offspring in various colours of grey and fawn.
This is free testing for R&D and all samples must be clearly marked as R&D (Intensity gene). You will receive your results for your own dog.
